I took an hour to browse through your website and saw a number of small updates you could make quickly that might help a customer find your website and make it more user-friendly.
One area you definitely need work on is the Search Engine Optimization.

1) There is no <TITLE> on your home page. Makes finding your site just that much harder.
2) The meta description copy should be kept to a maximum of 200 characters. Yours is 525 characters. Not robot friendly. And the relevancy to your home page content is about 40%. I could re-write it and boil it down if you like.
3) You have 22 keywords. Max recommended is 20 - so it's not too bad.
4) Boil down the home page paragraph to a short bullet lists using keywords .. eg.
- 35 Years respectfully serving the Scandia Community and surrounding area
or... Serving the Scandia community and surround ares since 19XX?
- Focused on fast, reliable, and complete service
- 24-hour/7 Days a Week Service, Installation, Maintenance & Repair
- Heating, Furnaces, in-floor
- Air Conditioning equipment
- Water heaters & boilers
- Recommended & guaranteed products
- Trane furnaces
- Wirsbo in-floor heating
- McLain boilers
- A.O Smith water heaters
Essential Coding is Missing:
1) Add "alt" tags for all the photos
Design Notes:
1) Recommend you move the buttons across the top rather than at the side.
2) Make home page photo smaller so it fits on one screen - no scrolling
Usability Issues:
1) You were unhappy that when people went to the TRANE site & thus allowed your clients other options. I AGREE! And it's right on your home page! One possibility for the trane products dilemma would be to pull images and descriptions of your primary products from those websites (or I could take photos) and perhaps make a table list something like this:
IMAGE -- NAME -- WHAT YOU LIKE or HILIGHTS -- PRODUCT SPECS PDF -- PRICE
Many times the specifications of a product can be downloaded in PDF form which you could upload to your own site and link to them. That would keep customers on your site rather than sending them off to another. Or make your "Recommended Products" bullet list into this table?
2) Suggest an interactive PDF form that asks customer for:
"Description of your needs:"
"Best time to call you"
"Phone"
"Cellphone"
"Email"
"Address"
Beyond that, I'd like to take a little more time to go over it again in depth and maybe set up a short meeting at your office to go through things with you in a couple weeks. This week is pretty much tied up - so I wouldn't have time to take another look til next week.
If you're in a hurry to get a web face lift done, please let me know. Otherwise, I'm guessing I will have a better more detailed list of recommended updates with an estimate of how long it would take me by July 15th or sooner.
Thank you very much for considering my services!
